Sony launched Live TV on PS5 for U.S. players as a free, ad-supported TV layer inside the console’s Media section, powered with Sony Pictures Television. At launch it promises more than 100 live channels plus on-demand entertainment spanning news, sports, movies, TV, and anime, with named partners in the official blog including Amazon MGM Studios, Crunchyroll, FOX, NBCUniversal, NFL Channel, UFC, and more.
Sony says the lineup will refresh over time and that Canada is an expansion target. For living-room economics, it is another console turning into a free FAST hub so the PS5 stays powered on between game downloads — and a quiet competitor to smart-TV app grids without buying another stick.
