Not everyone in the industry thinks the GTA 6 leaks will seriously damage Rockstar. Mashable reported that a former Rockstar director called the leak wave a “nothing burger,” arguing that the long-term damage may be limited. That reaction is worth covering because it balances the panic cycle. GTA 6 is already one of the most anticipated games ever, and unfinished clips may not meaningfully reduce launch demand.
Still, “limited damage” does not mean “no operational problem.” Rockstar and Take-Two still need to scrub clips, protect staff, trace accounts, and keep the official campaign on track. The best read is this: the leaks are huge for attention, serious for legal/security teams, but may not hurt sales if the final game lands well.
