AI training-data startup AfterQuery has reportedly raised a round valuing it at $3.2 billion, only five months after a $30 million Series A at $300 million in April — more than 10× in under half a year. Y Combinator partner Gustaf Alströmer called it the fastest launch-to-unicorn arc in YC history; the founders, 22 and 23, went through the Winter 2025 batch about 18 months ago.

AfterQuery pays domain experts to train models on professional workflows — “encoding how work gets done,” not only correct Q&A — and has cited customers including Nvidia, Legora, and Korea’s Motif Technologies, with an April claim of a $100 million annualized revenue run rate. Forbes first reported the round; TechCrunch could not immediately reach the company.

Even with the “reportedly” tag, the signal to the data-labeling market is loud: workflow imitation data is priced like frontier infrastructure.
