OpenAI rolled out multi-account support for Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts plugins used by ChatGPT and Codex. 9to5Mac reports OpenAI DX engineer Gabriel Chua confirmed users can add a second or third Google account from the Plugins sidebar gear icon after an initial connection. Until now each plugin was stuck on a single Google login, which blocked people who split personal and work inboxes.
With the change, one conversation can act on a personal Gmail while another uses a work calendar and contacts — after normal Google OAuth consent for each account. It is a small product fix with outsized daily-workflow impact: agentic mail and scheduling only scale when the assistant can see the same account graph humans already juggle.
